Danuta Parylak

Danuta Parylak is a full professor of agricultural sciences and current dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology at Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, where she leads the Institute of Agroecology and Plant Production.

Her academic credentials include:

• Graduation in agronomy from Agricultural University in Wrocław (1976)
• Doctoral thesis defense (April 1, 1986)
• Habilitation with thesis on "Optimization of winter triticale cultivation in short-term monoculture on good rye complex soil" (October 26, 1998)
• Professorship award in agricultural sciences (August 20, 2002)

Her research focuses on optimizing crop production systems through agrotechnology, herbology (weed science), and sustainable soil-plant cultivation practices, particularly for cereals like winter triticale in diverse soil conditions.

Administrative leadership constitutes a major career dimension, including service as vice-rector of the university, head of the Department of General Soil and Plant Cultivation, chairwoman of the Faculty of Agriculture council, deputy chairwoman of the Polish Academy of Sciences' Committee on Plant Cultivation, and vice-president of the Polish Agronomic Society.
