Danny Altmann

Professor Danny Altmann is a Professor of Immunology at Imperial College London's Faculty of Medicine, based at the Hammersmith Hospital Campus. He leads a research group focusing on immunology of infectious diseases (e.g., Zika virus, Chikungunya virus, severe bacterial infections), autoimmune diseases (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis), and cancer immunotherapy-related immunotoxicity. His work intersects microbiota studies, HLA systems, T cell subsets, and NK cells.

He is affiliated with multiple networks including the Centre for Molecular Immunology and Inflammation, Immuno-Pathology Network, and Vaccine Research Network. He holds editorial roles in journals like Frontiers in Immunology and contributes to funding bodies such as Innovate UK and the Wellcome Trust.
