Daniël van Helden

Daniël van Helden is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the School of Archaeology and Ancient History, University of Leicester. He is part of the AHRC-funded Arch-I-Scan project, where he acts as an archaeologist/translator to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and conducts archaeological analyses. His work bridges Roman archaeology with innovative mathematical methodologies.

Research Interests: Daniël focuses on Roman archaeology, interdisciplinary methods, and the application of mathematical approaches to archaeological problems. He emphasizes collaborative, laughter-infused academic practices to foster open dialogue and reduce academic pretension.
