معرفی
Danilo Bersani is a Full Professor in Applied Physics at the Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences, University of Parma. He holds national scientific abilitations as Full Professor (02/D1) and Associate Professor in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics (02/B1), Applied Physics (02/B3), and Geochemistry (04/A1).
- Education: Degree summa cum laude in Physics (1992) and PhD in Physics (1997) from University of Parma
- Research Focus: Raman spectroscopy applications in cultural heritage, mineralogy, and materials science
- Techniques: Macro/micro-Raman spectroscopy, mobile Raman, EXAFS, neutron diffraction
His recent publications highlight interdisciplinary applications of Raman spectroscopy to cultural heritage materials (wall paintings, gemstones, archaeological ceramics), mineralogical studies (tourmalines, pyroxenes), and advanced materials analysis (Ga2O3 thin films, solar cell interfaces). He has contributed to international conferences as chair, organizer, and invited speaker, with a focus on Raman spectroscopy's evolution in art/archaeology.
As an educator, he teaches Physics Laboratory (undergraduate), Spectroscopy of Materials (graduate), and specialized courses in cultural heritage diagnostics. He has supervised 80 theses and co-supervised 25, with organizational roles including President of the Master in Forensic Sciences and delegate for physics course guidance.
