Danille Christensen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Religion and Culture at Virginia Tech, affiliated with the Appalachian Studies, Food Studies, and Material Culture & Public Humanities graduate programs. Her research focuses on the politics of knowledge production about marginalized groups in the U.S., particularly through material carework practices such as home canning, ritualized sport, scrapbooking, gardening, and indigenous foodscapes.
