Danijela Pivasevic-Tenner

Danijela Pivasevic-Tenner serves as Lecturer and head of the ceramics workshop at Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin), where she develops conceptual ceramic works that deconstruct traditions and societal norms through deformation, audience participation, and functional subversion.

Her educational background spans institutions in Belgrade and Berlin, forming the foundation for her critical approach to ceramic artistry.

Pivasevic-Tenner's research examines how everyday objects reflect cultural habits, transforming ceramics into vehicles for social analysis through interactive installations and sculptural interventions. Her practice has been exhibited globally at venues including the Benyamini Center Tel Aviv, Contemporary Ceramics Biennale Jakarta, and Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale.

From 2013-2020 as artistic director of the Dr. Hans Hoch Foundation, she established the Ceramic Artist Exchange - Tandem funding program and #iksn international symposium. Current work focuses on mentoring students within UdK Berlin's ceramics workshop while maintaining active exhibition participation.

Her solo exhibitions feature prominently at Schleswig-Holstein State Museums Schloss Gottorf and Galerie Postel Hamburg, demonstrating sustained influence in contemporary ceramic discourse.
