Danielle N. Atkins

Dr. Danielle N. Atkins is an Associate Professor and MPA Director at Florida State University’s Department of Public Administration within the College of Social Sciences & Public Policy. She earned her Ph.D. in Public Administration with a specialization in Health Policy from the University of Georgia in 2013, alongside an MPA and BA in Psychology.

Her research focuses on policy analysis, health policy, reproductive health policy, risky behaviors, and education policy. Recent work examines opioid use disorder treatment in criminal justice systems, Medicaid expansion impacts, person-centered care models, and prenatal substance use policies.
