Danielle Guarracino

Danielle Guarracino is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), School of Science. Her work focuses on peptide-based therapeutics, protein-protein interactions, and thrombosis research.

Her research explores peptidomimetics, including lasso peptides and cyclic scaffolds, to inhibit thrombosis initiation by targeting the von Willebrand factor-collagen interaction. Recent publications highlight advancements in macrocyclic helix mimetics and their protease stability. She integrates research into undergraduate education, as seen in her Journal of Chemical Education work on remote learning adaptations during the pandemic.
