Danielle Gougon is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Rowan University, affiliated with the Department of Political Science & Economics within the College of Humanities & Social Sciences. She has been teaching at Rowan since 2013 and holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
Her research and teaching focus on political theory, women and politics, and American political thought. She coordinates the Political Science Internship Program and the Bachelor of General Studies Program. Dr. Gougon also supports curriculum development and faculty mentoring through the Office of Student Success, particularly for First Year courses like Rowan Seminar and Rowan 101: College Success.
She received Rowan’s prestigious Wall of Fame Teaching Excellence Award in 2020. Additionally, she serves as President of the New Jersey Political Science Association.
