Danielle Carron

Dr. Danielle Carron is a Researcher at the European University Institute's Department of History, with nationalities from Canada and France. Her research focuses on gender, sexuality, and exclusionary violence during German reunification (1985-2013). As part of the 2024 cohort, her thesis explores peripheral sexualities in post-Cold War Germany under the supervision of Prof. Benno Gammerl and Dr. M'hamed Oualdi.

Her work intersects political history, cultural studies, and transnational methodologies, examining how historical transformations impact marginalized communities. She maintains international research connections through EUI's academic networks and working groups.
