Daniele C. Struppa is a Professor and the President of Chapman University, holding the Donald Bren Presidential Chair in Mathematics. He earned his Laurea in Mathematics from the University of Milan (1977) and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park (1981). His academic leadership roles include Provost (2006), Chancellor (2007-2016), and President (2016-present) at Chapman University.
- Research Interests: Fourier analysis, algebraic analysis of differential equations, signal processing, pattern recognition, superoscillations, and applications in bioinformatics and proteomics of cancerous cells.
- Publications: Authored over 200 refereed articles and co-edited ten books, including works on bicomplex functions and hyperholomorphic calculus.
- Scientific Awards: Bartolozzi Prize (1981), Matsumae Medal (1987), Cozzarelli Prize (2017).
