Daniele Dabbene is a Research Fellow at the Department of Architecture and Design (DAD) of Politecnico di Torino. He serves as an external lecturer and teaching assistant for multiple courses, primarily contributing to modules on restoration and integrated conservation within the Architecture for Sustainability and Architecture for Heritage programs since 2021/22.

His research focuses on the conservation and adaptive reuse of cultural heritage, particularly historical buildings and landscapes. Recent work examines former psychiatric hospitals and orphanages as heterotopic sites, analyzing their decommissioning, new functions, and future scenarios, alongside studies on industrial heritage, royal residences, and vineyard landscapes.
Key publication themes include heritage valorization, architectural documentation, and sustainable preservation practices. Collaborative research with Carla Bartolozzi and others highlights interdisciplinary approaches to heritage conservation.
