Daniele Arcara is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Saint Vincent College, affiliated with the Herbert W. Boyer School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Computing. He teaches a wide range of mathematics courses and holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Georgia, along with a BS from Università di Torino, Italy, and certificates in Spiritual Direction and Pastoral Ministry.
His research focuses on Algebraic Geometry, particularly moduli spaces, Bridgeland stability conditions, and derived categories. His work explores foundational aspects of stability conditions on surfaces and projectivity of moduli spaces.
Notable awards include the Thoburn Award for Excellence in Teaching (2019). His publications address key topics in moduli theory, including K-trivial surfaces, Hilbert schemes, and Del Pezzo surfaces.
