Daniela de Morais Zanata

Daniela de Morais Zanata is a Researcher at CIC energiGUNE, where she joined in February 2024 as a postdoctoral researcher in the Advanced Electrolytes and Cell Integration group. Her work focuses on developing new polymers for electrolytes and electrodes in batteries and supercapacitors.

Her educational background includes:

• B.Sc. in Chemistry (2015) from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, where she studied hybrid composites based on epoxy resin and inorganic nanofillers.
• Master's degree (2015-2017) from the University of Campinas (Unicamp), developing a novel free-standing gel based on cellulose nanocrystals and polysilsesquioxane.
• Ph.D. (2017-2021) from Unicamp, focused on the synthesis, characterization, and self-assembly of pH- and thermo-responsive block copolymers for biomedical applications.

Her research interests span polymer science with emphasis on energy storage polymers, structure-property relationships, and self-assembly phenomena. Expertise covers polymer synthesis, processing/characterization techniques, colloidal systems, and development of hybrid materials including composites, blends, and natural polymers.
