Daniela Vacek is a researcher at the Department of Logic and the Methodology of Sciences, Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava. Her work bridges philosophy, law, and computer science, focusing on ethical and legal challenges in artificial intelligence.
She earned her PhD in Philosophy from Comenius University in 2020, following Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Philosophy from the same institution, with a visiting period at the University of York during her doctoral studies.
Her research interests include:
- Artificial Intelligence Ethics and Legal Responsibility
- Conditionals in Normative Discourse
- Analytic Aesthetics (Philosophy of Fiction and Poetry)
- Hyperintensionality and Transparent Intensional Logic
Recent publications (2021-2022) address vicarious liability in AI and the semantics of poetry, reflecting an interdisciplinary methodology. She is currently contributing to the APVV research project on conditionals semantics.
