Professor Daniela Traini is a leading academic in Respiratory Science and NHMRC Investigator (2020–2024) at Macquarie University’s Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (Department of Biomedical Sciences). She is also affiliated with the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and Ab Initio Pharma. Her career includes roles as ARC Future Fellow at the University of Sydney (2012–2016) and leadership of research teams at both Sydney and Macquarie Universities.

Research Focus:
Specializing in inhalation drug delivery, particle engineering, and aerosol chemistry, with applications in cancer therapy, nanotechnology, and sustainable manufacturing. Recent projects include nasal drug delivery models and Alzheimer’s disease treatments using nanogels.
