Daniela Sotres-Alvarez

Daniela Sotres-Alvarez, DrPH is a Professor and Associate Director for Population Health Research in the Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center (CSCC) at the Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She leads the statistical and analytical components of the Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL), a landmark study of 16,415 Hispanic/Latino adults.

Her work emphasizes addressing measurement error in nutritional and behavioral research, particularly in Hispanic/Latino populations. She actively collaborates on obesity, nutritional epidemiology, and preconceptual health studies.
