Daniela Di Basilio is a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at Lancaster University's Faculty of Health and Medicine (FHM). She serves on the Ethics Committee of the DClin course, guiding ethics procedures for academic and research activities. As a Clinical Psychologist and CBT therapist, she has extensive experience supporting neurotypical and neurodivergent populations across ages. Her teaching and supervisory roles include mentoring DClinPsy students in research and coursework.
Her research focuses on digital health tools (e.g., apps, neuromodulation) for disorders like eating disorders and psychogenic seizures. She is an Honorary Research Associate at the Northern Care Alliance and a key member of the Manchester Epilepsy Research Network, collaborating across disciplines to advance epilepsy and psychogenic seizure research.
Methodological expertise includes mixed-methods, quantitative surveys, and qualitative approaches like interviews. She leads projects such as evaluating alpha brain entrainment for functional seizures and developing the 'Reddy - your Eating Disorders Buddy' intervention. Active in editorial and advisory roles, she contributes to the Journal of Artificial Medical Intelligence and the Medito Foundation.
