Prof. Dr. Daniela Ammer is a Professor for Adult Education and Continuing Education at the Department of Social Work, Fulda University of Applied Sciences (since 2022). She also serves as Scientific Director of the Centre for Scientific Continuing Education (ZWW) at the same institution. Her career spans academic leadership roles including personal assistant to the Rector of Mannheim University of Applied Sciences and founding director of the Centre for Teaching & Learning (ZLL) at Mannheim.
- Doctorate in Social Sciences (Dr. rer. soc.) from Eberhard-Karls-University Tübingen (2010)
- Diploma in Landscape Management from Nürtingen University of Applied Sciences
- Scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation
Her research focuses on competence-oriented adult education design, future competences and digitalization, social sustainability, knowledge transfer, and universities as lifelong learning institutions. She works across interdisciplinary boundaries, integrating systems-theoretical foundations into educational practices.
Scientific recognition includes:
- Mannheim University of Applied Sciences Teaching Award (2017) for innovative teaching model 'kompass'
- Nomination for Baden-Württemberg State Teaching Award (2019)
