Mr. Daniel ZAMBON is a Professor of Materials Chemistry at Blaise Pascal University, where he has held this position since 1996. He previously served as Lecturer at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Clermont-Ferrand (1989–1996). His academic journey includes a doctorate in materials chemistry from Blaise Pascal University (1987) and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Nuclear Physics (IPN, University of Paris XI).
He leads research on luminescent materials, focusing on phosphates and vanadates doped with rare earth ions for applications in lighting and visualization. His work emphasizes the relationship between spectroscopic properties and material structure. ZAMBON is affiliated with the Inorganic Materials (IM) team and the Luminescent Materials (ML) theme at the ICCF (Institut des Sciences Chimiques de Clermont-Ferrand).
He has held administrative roles, including managing Quality-Safety-Environment training programs at Blaise Pascal University (since 1998) and heading the Chemistry Department of the UFR Sciences et Technologies (2009–2012).
