Dr. Daniel Wachowiak is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electric Drive Automation and Energy Conversion, Faculty of Electrical and Automation Engineering, Gdańsk University of Technology. He holds a PhD in Automation and Robotics (2016) and teaches part-time courses including Database Systems, Basics of Automation, and Data Mining.
His research specializes in:
- Sensorless control systems for electric drives
- Fault diagnosis in induction motors using real-time algorithms
- Optimization of observer gains via genetic algorithms
- Rotor flux estimation in permanent magnet machines
Recent publications (2020–2025) focus on improving efficiency and reliability in electric drives, with methodologies spanning theoretical modeling, computational optimization, and experimental validation. Common themes include harmonic analysis, observer design, and non-invasive diagnostics.
Dr. Wachowiak’s office is located in Building A (Room EM-316) and he can be contacted via email.
