Daniel Spielman is a Professor in the Department of Radiology at Stanford University, where he has been on the faculty since 1993. He holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from MIT (1983) and a Ph.D. from Stanford University (1990). Publication Trends: Recent work (2021-2025) shows intense focus on hyperpolarized 13C probes for brain and cancer studies, particularly using pyruvate/lactate metabolism to monitor tumor response to bevacizumab.
