Daniel Spencer

Daniel Spencer is the Director and Professor of the School of Travel Industry Management at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, affiliated with the Shidler College of Business. He also serves as a Cooperating Graduate Faculty Member in the Department of Geography and Environment.

• Research Focus: Tourism policy, planning, management, and marketing. His work bridges applied and methodological approaches, published in journals like the Journal of Travel Research and Tourism Management.
• Industry Collaborations: Conducted contract research for entities such as the Hawaii Tourism Authority, Hawaii Sea Grant, and the Michigan Department of Transportation.
