Dr. Daniel Solomon is an Assistant Professor of Surgery (Pediatrics) at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in pediatric general surgery with a focus on congenital anomalies, trauma, and minimally invasive techniques. He works at Bridgeport and Greenwich Hospitals and the Trumbull Park Avenue Medical Center, all part of Yale New Haven Health. Dr. Solomon completed his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine, followed by residency and chief residency at Yale University, and a pediatric surgery fellowship at the University of Florida.
Research Interests: Dr. Solomon’s work centers on improving surgical outcomes for children with congenital conditions like esophageal atresia, congenital lung malformations, and appendicitis. He emphasizes reducing healthcare disparities and optimizing clinical protocols, such as minimizing unnecessary imaging in pediatric trauma cases. His research also explores genetic factors in rare congenital disorders, as seen in his grant-funded studies on familial esophageal anomalies.
