Daniel Quintana is a Professor at the Department of Psychology, University of Oslo, and a Core Researcher at the KG Jebsen Center for Neurodevelopmental Disorders at Oslo University Hospital. His research focuses on biological systems linking psychosocial factors to health, with emphasis on neuroendocrine and autonomic nervous systems. He investigates oxytocin’s role in mental and physical health, including studies in autism, severe mental illness, and metabolic disorders. Quintana is also a leading figure in meta-science, advocating for methodological rigor and reproducibility in psychological research.
