Daniel Predecki

Daniel Predecki is an Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry at the College of Arts & Sciences, Shippensburg University. His research spans organic synthesis, forensic analysis, and biochemical interactions.

• Education: BS in Chemistry (Colorado State University), PhD in Organic Chemistry (Wake Forest University), Postdoctoral Fellowships at University of Minnesota Cancer Center and Emory University.

Research Interests include the hydrolysis of Schiff bases, synthesis of organometallic RNA-cleaving compounds, and forensic methods for analyzing opioids and synthetic drugs using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and NMR spectroscopy. He also collaborates on chemical education projects.

Publications reflect expertise in organic reaction mechanisms, forensic toxicology, and synthetic methodology for heterocyclic compounds.
