Dr. Daniel Oteng is a Lecturer in the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of Adelaide, within the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. He focuses on sustainability and circular economy principles in construction, with expertise in renewable energy integration, waste management, and digital tools like BIM and AI. Prior to academia, he worked as a project manager and planner in infrastructure projects, blending practical industry experience with academic research.
His research interests include circular economy frameworks for construction waste, policy analysis for renewable adoption, and digital twin technologies for urban resilience. He actively collaborates with industry stakeholders to translate research into actionable solutions. Dr. Oteng is an eligible supervisor for Masters and PhD students interested in circularity in renewables, construction waste management, BIM, and AI applications.
Recent publications highlight his work on digital product passports, urban digital twins, and lifecycle assessments of recycled construction materials. He emphasizes bridging the gap between theoretical research and real-world implementation through interdisciplinary approaches.
