Daniel Norton

Daniel Norton is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the School of Psychology and Human Services at Gordon College, where he has been a faculty member since 2019. Prior to joining Gordon College, he served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at Williams College and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).

His educational background includes:

Professor Norton's research lies at the intersection of clinical psychology and cognitive neuroscience. He employs a scientist-practitioner approach, focusing on well-understood brain systems—particularly the visual system—to investigate changes in the brain and mind associated with neurological and psychiatric disorders. His work has applied psychophysical and eye-tracking methodologies to study conditions such as schizophrenia, depression, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and autism spectrum disorder.
