Daniel Morgan is a Professor in the Department of Cinema and Media Studies and the College at the University of Chicago, serving as Director of Graduate Studies. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. His work focuses on the intersection of cinema and aesthetics, with research interests spanning film theory, experimental cinema, animation, and media modernism.
His major publications include Late Godard and the Possibilities of Cinema (2012) and The Lure of the Image: Epistemic Fantasies of the Moving Camera (2021).
