Daniel Michelis

Daniel Michelis is a Professor at the University of Applied Sciences Anhalt and an Associate Researcher with the Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Society research programme at HIIG (Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society). His work centers on leveraging digital communication for positive economic and social development, addressing complex challenges in social, economic, and ecological transformation through interdisciplinary projects.

His educational background spans the Berlin University of the Arts, University of Sydney, and a doctorate from the University of St Gallen's Institute for Media and Communication Management. He has further enhanced his expertise through specialized programmes at Stanford University, MIT, and Kaospiloten (Denmark), focusing on sustainability-digitalisation synergies.
