Daniel Medwed is a University Distinguished Professor of Law and Criminal Justice at Northeastern University School of Law, where he focuses on wrongful convictions, criminal law, and procedural barriers to exoneration. He previously held faculty positions at the University of Utah and Brooklyn Law School, directing the Second Look Program. His notable work includes the book Barred: Why the Innocent Can’t Get Out of Prison (2022), co-authoring Criminal Procedure: Principles, Policies, and Perspectives (2023) and Criminal Law: Problems, Statutes, and Cases (2021).
