Daniel Lauster

Prof. Dr. Daniel Lauster leads an interdisciplinary research group at the Institute of Pharmacy, Freie Universität Berlin, within the Department of Biopharmaceuticals. His work bridges biopharmaceuticals, chemical biology, and biophysics with a focus on translational research.

• Research Interests: Bioactive peptides inspired by viral receptors/antibodies, lung mucins, antiviral decoys, mucolytic agents, protein self-assembly mechanisms, molecular sensing tools for biothiols, and targeted nanotherapeutics for respiratory diseases.
• Key Techniques: Microscale thermophoresis (MST), interferometric scattering microscopy (iSCAM), quantitative fluorescence microscopy, cone-and-plate rheology.
