Daniel Korir

Dr. Daniel Korir is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at East Texas Baptist University, affiliated with the School of Natural and Social Sciences. His academic journey includes a B.Sc. in Education (Math/Chemistry) from Egerton University, an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Texas Woman's University, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of North Texas.

Dr. Korir's research focuses on designing nanoparticles (metallic, polymeric, liposomal, and peptides) for drug delivery systems targeting brain tumors and lung diseases like COPD and Lung Fibrosis. He investigates molecular responses to treatments and interventional strategies.

Before joining ETBU, Dr. Korir taught at TWU, UNT, and Dallas College. He also served as a lead pastor in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for nine years, emphasizing holistic growth through the integration of education and Christianity.
