Dr. Daniel K. Noland is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW), Chief of Service at Children's Plano Pathology, and Associate Medical Director of the Transfusion and Tissue Service at Children’s Health Dallas. He oversees the Children’s Blood Bank (12,000 transfusions/year) and apheresis service (400 therapeutic procedures/year).
- Education: BS in Molecular Biology (1994, Haverford College), MD (1998, University of North Carolina), Pathology residency (2007, Medical College of Georgia), Transfusion Medicine Fellowship (2008, Washington University in Saint Louis).
His research focuses on clinical and translational applications of therapeutic apheresis and pediatric transfusion medicine, with an emphasis on laboratory management and medical education. Dr. Noland plays a key role in training medical students, pathology residents, and pediatric fellows.
