Daniel J. Stilwell

Daniel J. Stilwell is a Professor in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), and Co-Director of the Center for Marine Autonomy and Robotics. He holds affiliations including the Seale Coastal Observatory Faculty Fellow role. His research focuses on autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), marine robotics, control systems, and sensor networks. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University (1999), M.S. from Virginia Tech (1993), and B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts (1991).
