Prof. Dr. Daniel Gredig is a full-time Professor at the FHNW School of Social Work, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, since 2000. He holds a PhD in Pedagogy/Social Education from the University of Zurich (1999) and a Licentiate in Social Work from the University of Fribourg (1991).
- Co-founder (1985) and President (1997–present) of the Dessaules Foundation for residential care
- President of the Swiss AIDS Federation (1997–2007), now a key advisor in HIV research
- Active in digital qualitative research innovation (e.g., VR serious games for HIV prevention)
His research spans HIV protective behavior, stigmatization, social work history, and methodological integration (qualitative-quantitative). Recent publications focus on heterosexist attitudes in education, PrEP adoption models, and cross-European master's program analysis.
