Daniel Gillen is Chancellor’s Professor and Chair of the Department of Statistics at the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences, University of California, Irvine. A leading biostatistician, his research spans survival analysis, longitudinal data methods, clinical trials design, and spatial risk estimation, with applications in Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular research. He has developed robust statistical tools for censored data and adaptive clinical trial frameworks.
