Daniel Garijo

Daniel Garijo serves as an Associate Professor in the Artificial Intelligence Department at the Faculty of Computer Science, Polytechnic University of Madrid, and conducts research at the Ontology Engineering Group (OEG) within Laboratory 3206 of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Informáticos (ETSIINF). He maintains an active collaboration with the Information Sciences Institute at the University of Southern California.

His research centers on enhancing scientific reproducibility through Semantic Web technologies, with specialized focus on e-Science infrastructure, scientific workflow provenance tracking (including inputs, outputs, and intermediate results), and Linked Data publication methodologies. He actively participates in international standardization initiatives and maintains extensive cross-institutional research partnerships to advance transparent computational science practices.

As a core member of the Ontology Engineering Group, he contributes to developing semantic frameworks that bridge domain-specific research with machine-interpretable data standards, significantly impacting computational reproducibility in data-intensive scientific domains.
