Dr. Daniel Fong is an Associate Professor of Mathematics and Science at the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), part of the U.S. Department of Transportation. He has been affiliated with USMMA since 2014. His academic background includes a Ph.D. and dual B.S. degrees in Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
His research focuses on tissue engineering, mathematical physiology, and combustion theory, applying mathematical principles to biological and engineering systems. Teaching interests include calculus, differential equations, and probability/statistics.
