Daniel Faber is Professor of Sociology at Northeastern University, College of Social Sciences and Humanities, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, and Senior Research Fellow at the Global Center for Climate Justice. He co-edits Capitalism, Nature, Socialism.
His research examines political ecology, environmental injustice, climate justice movements, and Central American political economy. Key works include Environment Under Fire (1993) and Capitalizing on Environmental Justice (2008), a C.W. Mills Award finalist.
He serves on boards of the Center for Political Ecology, Alliance for a Healthy Tomorrow, and Coming Clean. Current work focuses on the ecological contradictions of American capitalism.
