Daniel Ebbers is a Professor and Program Director for Voice, and Chair of Music Performance at the University of the Pacific's Conservatory of Music. He joined in 2004 and served as Interim Dean of the Conservatory from 2015 to 2017. He holds a BM in Voice from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and an MM in Voice from the University of Southern California.
His expertise spans vocal performance, opera, and the music of Benjamin Britten. Notable performances include roles in works by Britten (e.g., St. Nicholas), Mozart (Abduction from the Seraglio, Requiem), and Verdi (Otello). He has performed with institutions like the San Francisco Symphony, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the Cheungju Symphony in South Korea. Ebbers is also a sought-after teacher, mentoring students who have achieved prominence in international opera stages and competitions, including the Met National Council auditions and American Idol finals.
He has held residencies with the Los Angeles Opera and participated in programs like the Britten-Pears School and Music Academy of the West. His engagements include roles such as Don Ottavio (Mozart), Cassio (Verdi), and Belmonte (Mozart), alongside concert performances of works like Ho Jun Lee’s Cantata and Richard Einhorn’s Voices of Light.
Ebbers has contributed to opera education through the Pacific Opera Institute and has toured nationally as a tenor soloist. His teaching and performance career highlight a commitment to both classical tradition and contemporary repertoire.
