With a PhD in Environmental Chemistry (2013) and BSc in Environmental Science (2009) from Birmingham, he leads the MSc Environmental Health and Public and Environmental Health Sciences programs, both CIEH-accredited. His research focuses on persistent/emerging organic contaminants, human exposure pathways, and waste management.
His expertise includes mass spectrometry-based analysis of pollutants in abiotic/biotic matrices, with significant contributions to understanding brominated/polyfluorinated compounds in industrial emissions, waste streams, and indoor environments. Recent work includes PFAS in drinking water, BFRs in childcare facilities, and PCBs' endocrine effects in human populations. He collaborates extensively with Professor Stuart Harrad on EPA Ireland-funded projects.
