Associate Professor Daniel Demant is an academic at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in the School of Public Health. He holds a PhD (Queensland University of Technology) and multiple postgraduate qualifications in Public Health, Education, and Applied Social Sciences. His research focuses on epidemiological methods, LGBTQ+ health disparities, substance use, and sexual health policy. He has contributed to health policy reforms in Australia and internationally, including the NSW Health HIV Strategy and UK drug policy advisory work.
