Daniel Curry serves as a Lecturer at the University of Maryland, teaching architectural seminars on architecture and urbanism while advising graduate thesis students. He co-led the winter term study abroad program 'The Andalucia Program - Urbanism, Gardens, Architecture, and Detail' with Christian Calleri and instructs design studios at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
His educational background includes a Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Virginia.
Curry's professional focus centers on community learning environments, evidenced by current collaboration with Perkins Eastman on Washington DC's net-zero Banneker High School. His portfolio spans K-12 facilities like McKinley Middle School and Gallaudet University's Living and Learning Residence Hall, alongside cultural projects including the Benjamin Franklin Museum and Deanwood Community Center.
A registered architect (AIA) and LEED AP certified across DC, Virginia, and Maryland, he previously held leadership roles at Quinn Evans Architects and Ehrenkrantz Eckstut & Kuhn Architects. His professional engagement includes past chairmanship of the AIA|DC Committee on Architecture for Education, volunteer work with the Washington Architectural Foundation’s 'Architecture in the Schools' program, and Habitat for Humanity site supervision.
