Daniel Buck is an Associate Professor at the University of Oregon, affiliated with the School of Global Studies and Languages. His work spans interdisciplinary fields including geography, Asian studies, and food systems.
Research interests include:
- Political Economy
- Political Ecology
- Economic Geography
- Development
- Food and Agrarian Studies
- Urban Studies
- China and East Asia
Recent teaching includes courses on globalization and development (GEOG 342), Asian foodways (ASIA 480/580), and critical approaches to Asian studies (ASIA 611/612). Office hours: Thursdays 10:30-12:30 or by appointment.
