Daniel Barben

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Daniel Barben is a Professor of Science and Technology Studies at Alpen-Adria-University Klagenfurt, serving as Institute Director of the Institute for Society, Knowledge and Politics and Vice Dean. His career includes roles at RWTH Aachen University and Arizona State University, with extensive experience in interdisciplinary research programs.

He holds a Dr. rer. pol. habil. from Freie Universität Berlin (2004), a Dr. rer. pol. from Universität Potsdam (1995), and a Dipl.-Soz. from Freie Universität Berlin (1989). Additional qualifications include Maturität A (1980) and postdoctoral research fellowships at Harvard and Rutgers Universities.
