Daniel Arroyo-Rodríguez

Daniel Arroyo-Rodríguez serves as Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Massachusetts Lowell's College of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Professor Arroyo-Rodríguez specializes in 20th/21st century Spanish Peninsular literature with critical focus on historical memory recuperation in Spain. His research examines intersections between Spanish Civil War (1936-39) legacy and European Holocaust memory (1941-45) in literary contexts, alongside cultural representations of HIV/AIDS and contemporary Catalonian language studies. Current scholarship analyzes transnational trauma narratives connecting Iberian and European historical consciousness through literary frameworks.
