Daniel Anglés-Alcázar is Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of Connecticut, specializing in computational astrophysics. Research focuses on galaxy evolution, supermassive black holes, and cosmology using large-scale numerical simulations.
Honors include a Sloan Fellowship (2025) and Cottrell Scholar Award (2023). Current work examines multi-scale physical processes in galaxy formation, from stellar feedback to large-scale cosmic structure.
Prior affiliations include research positions at the Flatiron Institute and Northwestern University, where he developed analysis tools for astrophysical simulations.
