Daniel Ang is a Researcher and staff scientist at the Quantum Technology Center (QTC) of the University of Maryland, working under Prof. Ron Walsworth. He leads efforts in quantum sensor development for directional detection of dark matter and neutrinos using nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond. Previously, he completed a PhD in atomic physics at Harvard University, contributing to the ACME EDM experiment to measure the electron's electric dipole moment.
