Dr. Dana Sisak
Dr. Dana Sisak is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Research Fellow at the Tinbergen Institute. Her research focuses on Organizational Economics (including relative incentives, social preferences, leadership, and talent selection) and Political Economy (particularly electoral incentives, bureaucratic behavior, and information dynamics in political systems). She holds a prominent position in analyzing how social norms and strategic behaviors shape organizational and political outcomes.
Her work frequently employs experimental methods to explore phenomena such as modesty norms in competitive environments, the effectiveness of bureaucratic appointments under electoral pressures, and the impact of information asymmetry on public policy. Notable contributions include studies on the economics of 'psych-outs' in organizational settings and the role of anti-elitism in voter behavior.
Dr. Sisak’s research has been published in leading academic journals and addresses contemporary issues like fake news propagation and the design of incentive systems. She maintains a strong presence in both theoretical and applied economics, bridging microeconomic analysis with real-world policy implications.
